Booking the 1605 Living History Society

The content of each programme is shown on the 1605 Workshops page, and can be chosen on a mix and match basis, but must include the story of the Gunpowder Plot.

School Programmes are aimed at Key Stages 2 and 3+. Please see the table of fees below.

The society is willing to do individual talks and displays to other organizations; charges will be worked out taking into consideration the type of organization and what is being asked for. Please contact us for more details.

Please note the following:

  • The PowerPoint Display is not chargeable and is only given when three or more workshops are booked for the same event.
  • Childrens costumes are loaned to school for the day, please see attached information.
  • The maximum for individual workshops is 30 pupils [40 for dance] unless previously agreed.
  • The Armoury workshop can be either one person or two, by having two leaders this means that there is a much more interactive workshop allowing children to be dressed in armour.
  • The Music workshop can be either one person or two, by having two leaders there is a far more interactive workshop and children will get a great deal more for the additional cost.
  • Dance and Calligraphy are done by the same workshop leader and therefore cannot be done at the same time, but could be worked into a programme.
  • The workshops cover a period from early Tudors to James the 1st [1509 to 1606].
